Also known as a transducer socket plug. If you use the built-in fish finder, the original sonar recess in the hull stays open. This cover seals it flush: less drag in the water, so lower battery use and a longer run time. It fits in a few minutes with the included nano tape, no drilling.

Does the sonar cover also fit the RT4?
Yes, the sonar cover fits the hull of both the Carplounge RT4 and the RT7. The battery handles also fit both boats, but only the Smart batteries; they don't fit other batteries.
Can it handle water and sun?
Yes, everything is water and UV resistant and can stay outdoors all season.
